How to Manage Fraud Risks Using GAO’s Fraud Risk Framework Webinar

Session Overview:

GAO staff will describe how organizations can use its Fraud Risk Framework to identify and implement leading practices in managing fraud risks. Learn how to set up your organization for success in the fight against fraud! After reviewing the framework, the GAO team will ask participants about their experiences with Medicare crossover claims associated with potential fraud, particularly related to a fraud scheme involving false claims for catheters in 2023 and 2024.

 

Featured Speakers:

Dean Campbell is an Assistant Director with GAO’s Forensic Audits and Investigative Service (FAIS) team. He conducts forensic audits focused on fraud in a variety of areas, including disaster assistance and health care. Prior to joining GAO, Mr. Campbell was a consultant in the public sector and an accountant in Silicon Valley. He earned a master’s degree in Public Policy at Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Pomona College.

Michael Erhardt is a Senior Analyst with GAO’s Health Care team, with experience conducting audits on Medicare program integrity. He has a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s in Public Policy from the University of Maryland.
